New collaborations : Emma Donnersberg et Alexandra Mocanu.
Mouvements Modernes gallery is pleased to invite you to a breakfast at its showroom at the Peninsula Paris. In this precious and elegant Parisian’s place, Mouvements Modernes will present two new artists: Emma Donnersberg and Alexandra Mocanu.
Emma Donnersberg, interior designer and designer, presents in exclusivity with Mouvements Modernes, her first pieces of furniture « Organika ». This elegant and timeless collection broaches, notably with the chosen materials, the capacity of Emma both to fall within the tradition of French decorative arts, and to distinguish herself from them. Thus, the delicate and slender curves of hers « Mushroom » side tables, in bronze or resin, or the preciosity of the top in hand painted resin of her low table, reveal the talent of Emma to use know-how in order to reinvent forms. The artist can imagine her furniture take place in interiors of eclectic tastes’ collectors.
Alexandra Mocanu is an artist who works on point, painted or woven. It’s the beginning of her artworks, through the repetition of the gesture, the consistancy and devotion of the artist, to reveal whith a different point of view abstract and moving landscapes. These compositions, contemporary and poetical perceptions, draw the attention of the viewer and invite him to appreciate these abstracts reliefs within the range of colours created by the artist. Inspire by abstract expressionism as well as the musics she listen when she’s working, Alexandra is instictive, she’s carried by the enthusiasm of her practice, and links between the sensations. At the Peninsula, her work attests of a new contemporaneity and dialogues with Emma’s pieces of furniture.
